Health Informatics Master’s Practicum & Capstone

Students enrolled in the Master of Science in Health Informatics are required to complete one of two practical application capstone experiences in which they will take concepts in health informatics and apply them to a real-world experience. Students can undertake a work experience in a health informatics setting, called a practicum. The UNE practicum coordinator will supervise this experience. Students will also have the option to complete a project-based capstone. Many students choose to complete their capstone experience at their own workplace. In addition to integrating what students have learned, the capstone experience is an opportunity to network extensively with the informatics workforce prior to graduation.
